July 24 - 26, 2012 Grades: 7th to 12th Options: Commuter Camper - those not requiring overnight housing on campus. Resident Camper - those wishing to stay in the dorms during camp. Required to be over the age of 12. Level: This camp varies in experience and abilities. Our goal is to improve specific skills within a competitive camp environment. Check In: Commuters - 9am @ Wells Fargo Arena Residents - 8am @ Palo Verde Main. Sessions: Day One - 10am to 12pm, 1.30pm to 4pm and 5.30pm to 8pm Day Two - 9am to 12pm, 1.30pm to 4pm and 5.30pm to 8pm Day Three - 9am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4pm Enrollment Cap: 170 Cost: Commuter Campers - $350 Resident Campers - $450 (which includes housing and all meals) Includes: Camp T-Shirt and Volleyball Meal Ticket Option: Commuters may add $50 for lunch (3) and dinner (2) You are not required to purchase a meal ticket. We offer this as a service to you. If you choose not to purchase a meal ticket, please make sure your child has a sack lunch and/or dinner for camp each day. Purpose of this Camp Our Competitive All-Skills camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 7-12. Campers can expect to review and refine all of the major volleyball skills/tactics and apply what they learn to game-like play. A major aspect of this camp is competition. There will be a series of competitive drills which will result in movement between courts. Movement between courts comes as a result of results, rather than requests. Over the past three summers, the quality of play at this camp has greatly increased. This is a demanding camp - the athletes involved in this camp will play a lot of volleyball. Registration When available, a link to our online registration site will be enabled. Mail in registration is available by submitting the 2012 Individual Registration form as well as the camp packet. In order for Sun Devil Volleyball Camps to be successful, we must outlay monies in advance to vendors for the cost associated with participation of your child. Last minute drops or withdrawals from camp have resulted in unnecessary expenses that we can’t recoup. Because of this occurrence over the last three years, we have felt it necessary to make some changes regarding the way we handle our accounts. In the past, we have accepted payment for camp at registration and check-in on the first day of camp. We can no longer afford do this. So:
· ½ of the total amount of camps you have registered for will be due when you register online or by mail. You may then make payments to your account either on-line(keep your username/password or I can email you that information if it becomes lost) or through the mail. Please reference your child’s name in the notes portion if you send a check.
· All participants that have registered for camp must have their balance paid in full by July 1, 2012. Any camper that has not paid in full by this date will be dropped from camp and their deposit will be surrendered to Sun Devil Volleyball. Late Registrations and walk-ins are still welcome thru the first day of camp (if there is room). However, we will only accept full payment after July 1, 2012 using Visa or Mastercard. No Checks. All campers will eat meals together. You have the option of either purchasing a meal ticket for $50, which covers 5 meals. Or, you can bring your own lunch. Your meal ticket covers the following:
